Technology Development Case Study: Advanced AMI Collector for Top AMI Provider
Econis Labs was approached by one of the top three Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) providers in the world, facing extreme time constraints to develop a collector for a Proof of Concept (POC). The objective was to demonstrate the feasibility of integrating multiple communication protocols, including Wi-SUN mesh networking, within a short timeframe.
Starting from the ground up, our team undertook the complete end-to-end design of the collector, including the development of a custom enclosure, an intelligent power supply designed for 20 years of operation in harsh environmental conditions, and a focus on strict consumption thresholds and efficient heat dissipation.
Despite the tight timeline and demanding technical requirements, the Econis Labs team delivered the solution on time and within budget. This collector design not only succeeded in the POC but also became the foundation for industrializing multiple versions of the product. Today, these advanced collectors are deployed in tens of thousands of installations, supporting millions of endpoints across a range of energy and infrastructure applications.
Advanced LoRa Gateway for Crypto Processing
Econis Labs developed a cutting-edge LoRa gateway for advanced crypto processing with cellular backhaul capabilities. This innovative gateway included automatic throttle control to optimize performance based on network demands, and it was designed to support parallel processing with up to 2,000 processors.
